Streaming Service Max to Offer Live Sports Package — NBA, MLB, NHL Games Among Those Included

Streaming service Max, formerly known as HBO Max,  they will begin to offer a free live sports package for a limited time starting next month on October 5.

Max and Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD), their parent company, is set to launch the Bleacher Report (B/R) Sports add-on tier to all existing subscribers of the platform in the United States. The popular Bleacher Report media outlet is also owned by WBD.

The package , including the upcoming Major League Baseball (MLB) playoffs, slated to begin on October 7, and more than 60 National Hockey League (NHL) regular season games this year.

Live games of the 2024 MLB season and 2024 Stanley Cup playoffs will also be available next year.

In addition, the B/R Sports add-on will show 65 National Basketball Association (NBA) regular season games and include some games of the 2024 NBA Playoffs.

March Madness will also be available on the platform, with all games of the 2024 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship included in the package and US Soccer matches for both men's and women's teams.

Free trial up to February only

The add-on tier  during a promotional period that will begin from its launch two weeks from now, on October 5, until February 29, 2024.

Users will have to pay a $9.99 monthly fee on top of their Max subscriptions to continue using B/R Sports starting March 1, 2024.
